Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

The short version: Alpha doesn't have accounts and doesn't collect your financial data. Your portfolio lives on your device (and, if you choose, in your own iCloud). We can't see it.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Alpha Wealth Tracker app (“Alpha”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles and how. It applies to the Alpha Wealth Tracker iOS application, developed by Abdullah Alkhatib, based in Japan.

1. No account, no profile

Alpha does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the app. We do not build a user profile and we do not have a server that stores your personal financial information.

2. The data you enter stays on your device

The information you add to Alpha (your holdings, transactions, wallets, cash accounts, dividends, price alerts, and settings) is stored locally on your iPhone. By default it is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

3. Optional iCloud sync

If you turn on iCloud Sync, Alpha uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your own devices through your personal iCloud account. This data is stored in your private iCloud database, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to the contents of your private iCloud data. You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the app's settings.

4. Compete & sharing with friends (optional)

Compete is an opt-in feature. It is turned off until you choose to set it up. When you connect with a friend (for example by scanning a QR code or exchanging a share code), Alpha stores a limited dataset in a shared CloudKit database so that you and your friends can compare performance.

What is shared is intentionally minimal:

You control who you connect with, and you can stop sharing and remove your shared data at any time from within the app.

5. Market data

To show prices, charts, dividends, and benchmark comparisons, Alpha requests market data from third-party financial data providers. These requests include the ticker symbols you are tracking, but they do not include your identity or your holdings' quantities or values. Use of those services is subject to the respective provider's terms and privacy practices.

6. Face ID and biometrics

If you enable the app lock, Alpha uses Face ID (or your device passcode) to unlock the app. This authentication is handled entirely by iOS. Alpha never receives, sees, or stores your biometric data.

7. Camera

Alpha requests camera access only when you choose to scan a friend's QR code for Compete. Images from the camera are used solely to read the code and are not stored or transmitted.

8. Notifications

If you allow notifications, Alpha can send you price alerts, big-mover and daily-summary alerts, dividend reminders, and (if enabled) friend activity alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.

9. Purchases

Alpha may offer optional one-time in-app purchases (such as cosmetic themes). Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase validation is handled via Apple's systems and tied to your Apple ID.

10. Analytics & tracking

Alpha does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data; there is no personal data collected on our servers to sell.

11. Children

Alpha is intended for a general audience interested in personal investing and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
